It’s been a year since it’s release but that doesn’t stop it from dominating the gaming scene. Here’s an unboxing of the SteelSeries Rival DOTA 2 mouse.

Now first things first, one should always read the title of posts like this one for example… it’s an UNBOXING and not a REVIEW of the product. So with that said, this post will only cover the fun and excitement of one who has purchased and opened a brand new mouse for the individual’s use. So… let’s move forward.

First of all, the buyer will be greeted with a premium box similar to most of the SteelSeries mice so nothing really special there. Specs are listed down on the side of the box so all the technical stuff for those avid gamers can be accessed easily. Anyway, it’s pretty straight forward when opening the product. You get your quick start guide, a couple of SteelSeries stickers to showcase your love for their stuff, and one special freebie that any DOTA 2 player would love – A free in-game item redeemable via Steam. So there’s a really huge freebie for ordering yourself this great mouse.

The box is neatly themed in red to compliment the game of course. The mouse is packaged well and secure inside so damage would be very unlikely if you ordered your mouse outside the Philippines.

On the mouse cable, the user will notice a tag that says “Download Software Here: steelseries.com/engine” which is a link to the SteelSeries official peripheral engine you should use to customize and optimize your SteelSeries products. Here you can change the color, DPI, sensitivity, etc. of your gaming product which is pretty convenient because you can really personalize your gadgets to the fullest extent.

Well, that’s pretty much all anyone can say about a mouse because it’s pretty straight forward. It’s a mouse… what more can one say about it.
