The world’s first 17.3-inch foldable OLED laptop, the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, was just launched here in the Philippines.
The ultra-compact and light 12.5-inch laptop unfolds into a versatile 17.3-inch device with six modes. It also packs a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB PCIe SSD for storage.

This groundbreaking foldable laptop offer users two sizes of OLED display in one device. It has a large 4:3 17.3-inch 2.5K NanoEdge touchscreen that folds in the middle. When it is folded, it creates two seamless 3:2 12.5-inch 1920×1280 displays. The device can be fully folded close, making it an ultra-compact and portable 12.5-inch device. It can also be used in multiple versatile modes, namely the Desktop, Laptop with Bluetooth keyboard, Laptop with virtual keyboard, Tablet, Reader, and Extended modes.
In Desktop mode, the unfolded 17.3-inch screen can be propped up in landscape orientation. It can be used with the ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad attached wirelessly. This allow for all-day, non-stop productivity in the office or at home.
Its Laptop mode can be used either with the Bluetooth keyboard or the virtual keyboard. The Bluetooth keyboard attaches magnetically when placed on the lower half of the folded display. Alternatively, the lower display can also be turned into a virtual on-screen keyboard. These modes are perfect for on-the-go users.
Tablet mode is basically what it sounds like, you can use the device as a tablet. This is ideal for team collaboration and presenting ideas. You can also fold the tablet with the hinge aligned vertically for Reader mode. This turns it into the perfect reading device for studying or just reading e-books.
Finally, in Extended mode, the device is propped up in portrait orientation with the device folded. These is perfect for users to scroll seamlessly on the upper and lower displays.
The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED can also be connected to an external monitor via one of the two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports. Easy-to-use window management tools in the ScreenXpert 3 app also allow multiple split-display configurations and flexible app layouts. With this, users can seamlessly transition to each mode. Its innovative hinge is also engineered with ultimate durability, tested to withstand over 30,000 open-and-close cycles.

The Intel Evo-certified Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD. These high-performance components together ensure effortless multitasking. Its long-lasting 75WHr battery also feature USB-C Easy Charge. This means it can be charged quickly with most USB-C chargers, power banks, or any Power Deliver-certified charger.
For peripherals, the device have two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports. These are up to 8 times faster than USB 3.2 Gen 1. It also feature support for fast charging or connecting external displays. A USB-C to USB-A adapter is also included.

The new laptop also has a stunning Dolby Vision-certified display with 100% DCI-P3 and PANTONE validated for color accuracy. It’s also TÜV Rheinland-certified for reducing harmful blue light. Several smart AI-powered features for privacy and security are also included in the device. This includes a user-presence detection using an HD IR camera. It locks the laptop when the user is away, and unlocks it upon return. It also has an integrated color sensor for automatic screen brightness and color temperature adjustment. And for a superb online video calling experience, the device feature a 5MP AI webcam with ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology.

The ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes in a premium Tech Black color with free lifetime license to Office Home & Student 2021. The device will only be available on a limited quantity of only 100 pieces in the Philippines. It will have a retail price of PHP 219,995, and will be available in ASUS Concept Stores and authorized resellers nationwide.
