The wait is over! ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Philippines officially announces the availability and pricing of the ROG Phone 5s and 5s Pro.
Power Overwhelming
The king of gaming smartphones is now souped up and powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G. It packs industry-leading innovations in 5G, Ai, gaming, and camera technologies. It will also come with a Kyro 680 CPU Prime core clock speed at up to 3.0 GHz and the 6th generation Qualcomm AI Engine. The gaming phone also boasts an improved 360Hz touch sampling rate, 144Hz refresh rate AMOLED HDR display.
GameCool 5 cooling system in the new gaming phone has an optimum thermal structure. This features a centered CPU with the battery split into two parts, one located on each side of the CPU. This design ensures that the heat generated by the CPU is transferred to all the edges and corners of the chassis simultaneously.
For truly balanced stereo sound effects, its GameFX audio system now incorporates symmetrical seven-magnet dual speakers. They are optimized in collaboration with audio specialist Dirac. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a HiFi-grade ESS DAC for lossless audio processing worthy of audio enthusiasts.
Lastly, the AirTrigger 5 control system and 10 different motion controls gives gamers up to 4 distinct wats to interact with the ROG Phone 5s. And to extend both screen-on time and the lifespan of its 6000mAh battery, it is optimizes using software optimizations and power-saving mechanisms. This include charging upper limit, steady charging, and enhanced scheduled charging. A 65W HyperCharge adapter is also bundled which supports rapid charging to juice up the device in the fastest possible time.
ROG Phone 5s Pro – Complete with ROG Vision
The ROG Phone 5s Pro let gamers make their presence known to the world with the exclusive ROG Vison. It’s a pioneering rear matrix display unique to the ROG Phone lineup.
ROG Vision can display a variety of cool animations that show whether the phone is charging, if there’s an incoming call, whether X Mode is enabled, and more. Users can also create custom animations to make their phone even more personal.
Additionally, the 5s Pro also features innovative hidden rear touch sensors on the back cover. This provide L2/R2 trigger functions just like a game console controller. It will also come with 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM for increased overall gaming performance.
