Canon Philippines just announced the price and availability of the new Canon EOS M50 Mark II mirrorless camera, plus packages with freebies.
Capture Beautiful Portraits and Vivid Action Shots
The new M50 features an enhanced Eye Detection AF, which is able to detect and focus on a subject’s eye even when the person is far away. This ensures the eye will always stay focus, even when it is used for full body shots. The Mark II also has a continuous shooting speed of up to 7.4fps with servo AF. This means it can capture multiple shots of moving objects such as children or pets.
Its built-in high-resolution electronic viewfinder (EVF) also makes it easy for viewing when shooting outdoors. The AF frame display in the EVF has also been improved. It is now faster and tracks the subject more smoothly. Display speed on the display has also been improved, allowing for a better visualization of the tracking.
An EOS first, the Mark II makes full use of its touch sensitive display with a new Tap AF feature. Users can instantly switch focus from one person to another by just tapping on the screen. This is in addition to the Touch & Drag AF, where users can move the AF by dragging their finger on the screen while shooting through the EVF.
Enhanced Movie Shooting Experience
Eye Detection AF on the new M50 can also work with Movie Servo AF. You just need to keep the subject within the frame while shooting and it will track the subject smoothly.
Users can also expect enhanced AF stability during 4K movies shooting with EF-M lenses thanks to its improved contrast AF algorithm. This enables smooth movie recording with reduced wobble.
Vloggers are now able to livestream directly to YouTube from the camera by just connecting the device to Wi-Fi without using a streaming unit. Its vari-angle LCD monitor with touchscreen recording, movie self-timer, and an external mic jack, the M50 Mark II makes it more intuitive and easier for vloggers to record videos and do livestreams.
