Rumors have been out for weeks that a new Zenfone Max will be coming to the Philippines. Now ASUS PH is finally teasing on their posts, here’s what we know about the Zenfone Max Plus M1.
At first glance, you’ll see that the M1 is just the same size as the previous Zenfone Max. But you will clearly notice that it has a bigger, wider screen. That is because it has a 5.7-inch screen on a 5.2-inch body. This makes the Zenfone Max Plus M1 ASUS’ first smartphone to sport an 18:9 ratio screen (80% screen-to-body ratio). It has been a trend lately for smartphones sporting a wider screen, and it seems ASUS is applying it to their newer models.
It also has a dual camera configuration at the rear. The cameras have been improved from it’s predecessor. It has a 16MP, f/2.0 cam and an 8MP, f/2.0 cam for wide angle shots.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Max if it didn’t have a large battery. Dubbed as The Battery King, the M1 is equipped with a 4130 mAh battery, which is more that enough to power the device. Aside from having a huge battery, it also has a smart power management for you to have a longer battery life. And it also has its signature reverse-charging technology, so you can charge other devices with the M1.
Another great feature that is coming with the M1 is their new Face Unlock feature. It not only locks your device, but it also hides your notifications on the screen until you face-unlock it. It still has a fingerprint scanner at the back, but Face Unlock can be helpful on situations where you can’t use your fingerprints; such as when wearing gloves and/or when your fingertips are wet.
