The ZenFestival in Davao City was another event held by ASUS as an appreciation and thanks to the ZenFone fans. Here’s what went on.
They usually have these kinds of events quarterly and the latest was last September 26, 2015 at Rekado Davao located at Jacinto Extension St.
Besides the delicious food from Rekado Davao, we were treated with an open forum where we discussed how to maximize our ZenFone experience. The various tips, tricks, tutorials, and Q&A was very informative. ZenTalk was also promoted during the event. It is a technical forum to learn, share, and exchange information about their products. It is also a place to meet and mingle with other Zen Fans.
The new series of ZenFones were also introduced and we had the opportunity to try them out. These phones were actually revealed to us during the ZenFone PixelMaster Party last July. This time we get test them out. They are the ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser, and ZenFone Selfie.
ZenFone 2 Deluxe
The ZenFone 2 Deluxe is an upgraded version of the ZenFone 2. It is powered by a 64-bit 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 4GB of DDR3 RAM, giving it a Desktop PC like performance. It also has a 13MP back camera, 5MP front camera, 64GB of internal storage, and an external MicroSD storage support of up to 128GB. But what is noticeable about the Deluxe is its stylish back cover. It is reported that there are over 500 polygons on it. The Deluxe can be yours for the price of Php 17,995.
ZenFone 2 Laser
Next up is the ZenFone 2 Laser, it features a laser autofocus which helps focus your camera faster for light speed shots. It is also equipped with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 display which offers twice the drop-damage resistance of its predecessor. All this for the price of Php 7,695 for the 5” variant and Php 8,695 for the 5.5” variant.
Zenfone Selfie
And lastly, everyone’s favorite, the ZenFone Selfie. As the name suggests, this device is great for taking selfies. It has dual 13MP camera for BOTH front and back (Yes, you read that right), dual real tone LED flash for BOTH front and back, and is also equipped with a laser autofocus for the rear camera. It has 3GB of DDR3 RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and external MicroSD card support of up to 128GB. All for an awesome price of Php 11,995.
Of course, the friendly ZenFone community mingles and exchanges ideas with each other, meet new people, and take photos together.
And the event wouldn’t be complete without some contests and giveaways. Congratulations on the lucky 10 who won a limited edition Zenny plushy made by ASUS. (Fun fact: There are only 500 Zenny dolls in the country).
And here we have an epic selfie with the ZenFone Davao Community.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Eason de Guzman Jr. (ASUS Digital Marketing Head and Lead Trainer), Mr. Adrian Chua (ZenTalk Leader), Mr. Nikko James Reducto (ZenTalk Moderator – Dr. Zen), and to all the Zenfans that participated in the event. See you all again on the next event!
