To amplify the gaming passion of creators this 2022, Samsung Philippines has teamed up with MOONTOON Games.
Gen Zs are known for being digitally savvy. Their cultural influence is also reshaping traditional beliefs about online entertainment. According to a study, one of the things that this generation enjoys is mobile gaming. It not only allows them to relacx and unwind, but it also allows them to socialize with their friends and families.
During the height of the pandemic, mobile gaming apps had registered the highest growth usage in the Philippines. In addition, 90% of Filipinos aged from 16 to 64 owns a mobile device. And among these users, 72% are into mobile gaming. From the gaming apps available in the country, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) took the top spot based on active users.
Samsung had already begun to tap the gaming community with the release of their Galaxy A series as their best affordable mobile gaming phone. To strengthen its presence in the gaming scene, Samsung Philippines has partnered with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s international gaming developer, MOONTOON Games. With this partnership, the tech company hopes to further solidify the role of its products to gamers and streamers in the country.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) 2022
This year, Samsung Philippines is officially taking the lead to expand its local e-sports initiatives by sponsoring the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) in the Philippines starting February 18, 2022. The season will bring more challenges to gamers nationwide. All while also featuring well-known esports players like Bren Esports, ECHO, Smart Omega, Nexplay EVOS, TNC Pro, RSG Philippines, ONIC PH, and the defending champion Blacklist International.
