Online payments to online stores are now made easier through social media and chat, thanks to PayMaya’s Payment Link and QR Ph features.
Sellers only need to generate a Request Money Link or get their QR code icon in the app. You can do this by clicking the User Profile icon on the top left portion, and tapping on the QR code icon next to your name and mobile number. Once you have generated a payment link or saved a screenshot of their QR Ph code, you can send them to your customers via social media and/or chat apps to instantly receive cashless payments.
Meanwhile, buyers only need to tap on the link sent by the seller or scan the seller’s QR Ph code through the PayMaya app to make the online payments. The seller’s account details will automatically be filled in on their app, they can then just enter the amount or tap “Pay”.
“Since last year, we have seen a tremendous increase in the number of online and chat sellers using our PayMaya app, driven by shift to digital because of the pandemic. That’s why we have developed the necessary tools and programs such as our Payment Links and QR Ph features, on top of other solutions, to make e-Commerce payments as easy as sending a message via chat,”
said Shailesh Baidwan, President of PayMaya.
Limited-Time Rewards
From February 12 to 16, 2021, sellers will have a chance to earn PHP 100 for every PHP 25,000 worth of accumulated payments received via their PayMaya account. They can earn up to PHP 400 for a maximum of PHP 100,000 worth of accumulated payments.
PayMaya Payment Links and QR Ph

Payment Links allow any user with an upgraded account to generate a request money link. The link already integrates the amount that their buyer needs to pay, for faster and more convenient transactions.
QR Ph is the national QR code standard launched by the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in 2019. PayMaya’s QR Ph-enabled code allows sellers instantly receive payments from other PayMaya users or from 18 other banks and financial institutions currently participating in the initiative. All they have to do is send their QR code to their customer. Their customers, in turn, can simply save the QR code and scan it in PayMaya or other QR Ph-sending financial app.
These online payments are flexible enough that online sellers can just send them to buyers via social media or through chat apps like Viber or Messenger.
