During the Mindanao Cyber Expo 2016 (MCE 2016) on July 29-31, 2016, I had the opportunity to try out the HTC Vive on the ASUS booth’s Nvidia VR Experience.
The VR experience was actually in accordance with Nvidia’s standards. It was the first in Southeast Asia, ouside of Computex in Taiwan. I had my friend, Jim from DigitalDavao.com, with me and we were excited to experience it.
The HTC Vice was connected to a custom ASUS ROG PC with an Nvidia GTX 10-series graphic cards (I forgot which one). The Game we played was the Nvidia VR Funhouse, it is a collection of mini games set inside a funhouse and showcases the Virtual Reality capability of Nvidia’s Pascal Architecture.

The Nvidia VR Experience was awesome. The behavior of the objects are realistic, I was even captivated on how the hair on a dummy move so realistically. At first I thought I would get motion sickness while playing, but it felt naturally. It is truly a must-do experience, thank you to the ASUS ROG team and Nvidia for it. You can download Nvidia VR Funhouse on Steam. You can also read about what went on during the Mindanao Cyber Expo 2016 here: http://bit.ly/MCE2016Coverage
