The HUAWEI MatePad T 8 Kids Edition is designed with children’s education and healthy development in mind. It is specifically designed for children between ages 3-8, and offers everything a child love. This includes an adorable Kids Case, stylus pen, and the Kids Corner default app that is pre-loaded with child-friendly content.
Made from environmentally safe silicone, the Kids Case offers all-around protection for both the device and your child. The case is comfortable and enjoyable to hold for small hands. It also features curved backs, giving them a delicate and rounded grip. The bright blue stylus pen offers interactive experience for kids by enabling them to draw finer pictures and enjoy playing touchscreen games. Both the Kids Case and stylus pen meet the European Standards on the Safety of Toys and pass the Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Equipment (RoHS).
Numerous safety features on the MatePad also gives parents peace of mind. Parents can manage time spent, apps used, and other viewable content on Kids Corner. The device includes features like Huawei’s own self-developed network positioning services which intelligently obtain its optimal location with accuracy. It can accurately record location every 120 seconds. And parents will also receive notifications when their kids leave or enter the Safe Zone. At the same time, the HUAWEI Watch Kids 4 Pro is designed with reference to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It enables strict data encryption and privacy protection for kids.
In addition, the device is also equipped with a 5MP front camera which supports HD video calls using HUAWEI MeeTime. It also has a 5ATM design, making it water-resistant for up to 50 meters. To keep kids active, the device provides a counting feature and one-minute activity challenge for skipping rope, free skipping rope, and sit-ups. And, it also can track user’s steps and provide a ranking which is helpful for kids to challenge themselves when they exercise.

The HUAWEI MatePad T 8 Kids Edition will retail for ₱8,999 SRP. It will have a first initial sale offer starting September 24 until October 1, 2021 via the official Huawei Online Store. And it will be bundled with freebies worth ₱8,996. The bundle will include the Pen, Cover, Baby Panda toy, Wireless Charging Table Lamp, Baby Bus 3 months VIP, and Azoomee 12 months VIP.
