ASUS conducted their PowerUser Gathering event here in Davao City at Park Inn by:Radisson and introduced their latest gaming line of products.
The new hardware that they unveiled was from their Republic of Gamers (ROG) line. First let’s take a look at the ASUS ROG G20 Gaming Desktop PC.
The ASUS ROG G20 is the world’s most powerful prebuilt compact gaming desktop PC. It has a unique design and customizable lighting effects and an effective heat management. Its specifications are as follows:
- Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4790
- Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 745 4GB DDR3 VRAM
- Memory: 12GB DDR3
- Storage: 1TB HDD
The ROG G20’s SRP is Php 63,995.
Next we have the ASUS ROG G551 Gaming Laptop. This gaming laptop has an Enthusiast-grade performance so you can be sure to play your games at ultra-high settings. Its specs are:
- Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4720HQ
- Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M 4GB GDDR5 VRAM

Lastly we have the ASUS ROG G501, it is an ultra-thin gaming laptop. Now the problem is with ultra-thin laptops is their cooling, it gets hot over time especially on heavy use. But the ROG G501 is equipped with ASUS’ Hypercool Technology specifically design for this device for a cool and silent gaming. Specs are as follows:
- Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4720HQ

- Storage: 1TB HDD
The ASUS ROG G501 SRP is Php 59,995.
They also featured their line of ASUS Strix Peripherals, Graphic Cards, and ASUS ROG motherboards. I would love to get my hands on those hardware for an unboxing or review (Shout out to ASUS hoping to hook us up.). All in all, it was a great event filled with fun and games.
