The new year is coming, and we look forward to the new movies that are coming out in 2019. Here are the 2019 Disney movies lineup.
But first, a disclaimer. The list below does not include Fox’s films that is slated for 2019 such as Dark Phoenix. Fox will move under the Disney umbrella when the conglomerate completes its acquisition of many of Fox’s assets next year. I’ll just probably compile a separate list for Fox’s slate. Also note that the release dates may change without prior notice.

Captain Marvel is the last movie that leads to Avengers: Endgame. The movie is about how Carol Danvers became Captain Marvel and being caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

The most awaited movie of all Marvel fans. Avenger: Endgame continues where we they left off on Avengers: Infinity War.

Aladdin is another live-action retelling of a classic Disney animated film of the same name. Aladdin stars Will Smith as the genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine.
Toy Story 4 – June 21
The fourth installment in Pixar’s Toy Story series. The film continues from Toy Story 3 where Woody and Buzz embarks on a road trip adventure.
The Lion King – July 19
The last and probably the most awaited live-action remake of a Disney classic animated film of the same name. The Lion King retells the story of Simba.

Artemis Fowl is based on a series of eight science fiction fantasy novels written by author Eoin Colfer, which features criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl II. The film is said to be loosely adapted to the first and second novel of the series.
Frozen 2 – November 22

Join Elsa the Snow Queen and her sister Anna as they embark on an adventure far away from the kingdom of Arendelle.
Star Wars: Episode IX – December 20

As a Star Wars fan, this is movie is probably I’m most excited about. The last of the New Trilogy, we will finally find out how it ends.
Disney has dominated the box office this 2018 with hits like Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Incredibles 2. But they also had some losses with the fop of A Wrinkle in Time, and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Based on their slate, it looks as though Disney will also dominate 2019. What 2019 Disney movies will you be watching?
