MSI recently announced the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ CG3EM, a premium Windows 11 Home handheld gaming PC and Copilot+ PC finished in Void Purple.

Intel’s Arc G3 Extreme processor stands out with its console-style ergonomics and robust 80Whr battery. Utilizing the Xe3 architecture, it features up to 14 cores including 12 Xe-Cores and supports 46 NPU TOPS along with Intel XeSS 3. MSI reports over 50% increased average FPS compared to the previous generation at 1200p with Medium settings, achieving remarkable improvements of 161% in Battlefield 6, 72% in Hogwarts Legacy, and 54% in Cyberpunk 2077.

For extended gaming sessions, the Claw 8 EX AI+ features a controller-inspired design with a curved chassis, flared grip, and anti-slip surface. It includes Hall Effect drift-free analog sticks and triggers, a metal-dome D-pad, and high-definition haptic feedback.

The 8-inch FHD+ IPS-level touchscreen features a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a 120Hz refresh rate, VRR, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 500 nits brightness with 100% sRGB coverage. The 80Whr battery offers over five hours of gameplay in Endurance Mode and supports up to 65W PD charging.

MSI’s Cooler Boost Hyperflow system manages cooling with larger fans for improved airflow. The device supports up to 32GB LPDDR5x memory, and the PCIe Gen 4 x4 M.2 2280 SSD is upgradeable by removing the back cover. It also includes a MicroSD Express reader with read speeds of 600–800 MB/s.

The handheld comes equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 supporting LE Audio, and dual 2W speakers certified for Hi-Res Audio. It includes MSI Center M with Xbox Mode for a consolidated game library and reduced RAM usage, alongside the MSI AI Engine and macro keys.
The MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ starts at ₱99,995 and will be available in MSI stores and authorized retailers nationwide. Specifications may vary by model and market.
