Samsung recently announced the availability of Galaxy AI features to more Galaxy devices through the new One UI 6.1 update.
The update will be available across the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series. It will start to roll out from end of March 2024. This update will elevate the standard of users’ mobile AI experience through a hybrid approach that combines on-device and cloud-based AI.

Communication the Transcends Barriers
More Galaxy users will now be able to take advantage of the communication-enhancing Galaxy AI features. This include the ability to adjust message tone and translate messages in 13 different languages using Chat Assist. Users will also be able to experience the power of real-time interactions through Live Translate. It provides voice and text translations for phone calls. Interpreter lets users engage in spontaneous conversations with locals while travelling with a split-screen feature that generates text translations for live conversations.
Productivity Unparalleled
The integration of Galaxy AI into the One UI 6.1 update will also enable seamless user experience in day-to-day tasks. Circle to Search with Google improves the search function by generating intuitive search results with a swift circle-motioned gesture. Note Assist allow users to create formats, generate summaries, and translate notes. Browsing Assist enable users to stay up to speed faster by generating comprehensive summaries of news articles. Transcript Assist can also easily transcribe meeting recordings and generate summaries and translations.
Unstoppable Creativity for Your Inner Artist
Samsung is also doubling down on its role in unlocking the user’s creative potential. The latest One UI 6.1 update will deliver a suite of Galaxy AI tools that encourages creative freedom. With Generative Edit, AI-supported devices can easily resize, reposition, or realign objects in photos to perfect a great shot. Users will also be able to polish their photo faster and easier with Edit Suggestion. Instant Slow-mo can generate additional frames for slow-motion videos to capture action-packed moments.
