The first peek of Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97 just dropped and revealed that the all-new series will stream starting on March 20, 2024.
X-Men ’97 is an upcoming animated series that is based on Marvel Comics superhero team X-Men. The X-Men is a team of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them. They are forced to face a dangerous and unexpected future.
The show will feature 10 episodes and revisits the iconic era of the 1990s. It is also a continuation from the original X-Men: The Animated Series, which aired on 1992-1997. Several cast members from the original series will reprise their roles, as well as voice new characters. These include Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Roque, George Buza as Beast, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler.
This production is by Marvel Animation, with Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Beau DeMayo as executive producers. Beau DeMauo will also serve as head writer, and Jake Castorena as supervising director. Episodes will also be directed by Castorena, along with Chase Conley, and Emi Yonemura.
