Once again Gaisano Mall of Davao brings us the Mindanao Toy Convention, taking place for the whole week on April 18-24, 2016.
The Mindanao Toy Convention (MTC) is an annual event hosted by Gaisano Mall of Davao with the Mindanao Hobby Community at its core. It is an event where participants from various hobby and collectors group around Davao City to share and showcase their collections to the public. The event started out as an event just for fun by the members of the community. But then grew to an annual gathering of collectors, hobbyists, and enthusiasts.
Among the pop culture events in Davao City, MTC has been very consistent. Not only does it showcase a bond and friendship between collectors and enthusiasts, the event also serve as a medium to attract other people to get into the hobby of collecting.
Aside from the toy exhibit, other activities will also be held during the convention. Such as:
- Toy Exhibit (week long)
- Tamiya Mini 4-Wheel Drive (week long)
- Summer Speedcube Competition (April 20-23)
- KPop Dance Competition (Preliminaries – April 22, Finals – April 24)
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament (April 22)
- Card Fight! Vanguard Tournament (April 22)
- Cosplay Competition (April 23)
