Thunderbolts*, the highly anticipated, highly chaotic, and highly unlikely ensemble MCU film is now showing in Cinemas nationwide.
Former Villains in their Redemption Era

This group of ungovernable timebombs do not dreaming of becoming legendary heroes. But after committing crimes against humanity, they now seek redemption by joining a dysfunctional team of misfits.
Leading the pack is Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), a former assassin or General Dreykov under the Black Widow program. She is joined by Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), a former Hydra-brainwashed assassin who eventually turned his life around to fight for good. The team also includes Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian (David Harbour), a former super-soldier and father figure to Yelena and Natasha Romanoff; Ava Starr/Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), an elite and ruthless former S.H.I.E.L.D. operative driven by one goal; John Walker (Wyatt Russell), the disgraced former Captain America; and Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), General Dreykov’s daughter and ‘greatest weapon’.
And the mysterious person responsible for assembling them is Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). But whether she has personal motives or is a patriot ensuring the safety of her people is still in question.
Comics Reimagined

Marvel Studios’ “Thunderbolts*” adapts the 1997 comics’ anti-hero team from page to screen. It blends grit, humor, and emotion. Executive producer Brian Chapek and director Jake Schreier drew inspiration from broken teams and unlikely bonds, resulting in a unique perspective on the iconic team.
“There’s a rich history of source material, so it forced us to find a unique perspective.”
Brian Chapek, Executive Producer
The creative team prioritized authenticity in the film, focusing on the characters’ inner battles and their innate distrust. The production mirrors the raw, hard-edged world the characters inhabit, even constructing a New York City block. The film also offers emotional resonance and the need for connection to overcome darkness.
Don’t miss the clash of redemption, revenge, and raw power as the unlikely team fights not just their enemies, but also their own dark pasts. Thunderbolts* is now showing in cinemas nationwide. For Davao City viewers, you can check out our Davao City Cinema Schedule on the link below.
