Looking for a speaker for your outdoor activities? Check out this JBL Boombox Review, it just might be the speaker you’re looking for.
The JBL Boombox is one of JBL’s new Bluetooth speakers. But is it worth the money? Or are you better off with their other smaller and affordable speakers.
JBL Boombox Unboxing
The unboxing experience was pretty straightforward. Inside the box you’ll find a Quick Start Guide, the Charging Brick, four kinds of Power Cords, and the speaker itself. You can check out my unboxing video below.
Design

The aesthetics are a little similar to most of JBL’s speakers, except the Boombox has ha handle to carry it around. It is a bit heavy, probably the heaviest of JBL’s speakers, so handle really helps when lugging it around.
Build Quality

The speaker is really well built. It feels as though it can take some punishment, certainly a plus when using it on outdoor activities. And like most, if not all, of JBL’s speakers, it is waterproof. It has a IPX7 rating, which means it can survive underwater for up to 1 meter.
Sound Quality
The quality of the sound is great. It has more punch on the bass which I personally like. It has incredible mids and has decent highs. You can switch it to outdoor mode which makes the speaker louder than normal. Though the Outdoor Mode is really loud, the sound quality is still the same.
JBL Boombox Features

The Boombox also has some other features besides its waterproofing and the outdoor mode. The speaker also has a huge battery, having up to 24 hours of playtime. It can also act as a powerbank to charge other devices through its 2 USB ports.
