Samsung just announced the arrival of the new Galaxy S25 Series: the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S25+, and Samsung S25.
The new devices sets a new standard as a true AI companion. It introduces multimodal AI agents and a customized Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy chipset. The innovative devices set a new standard for AI-enhanced mobile experiences, offering superior camera range and control with Galaxy’s next-gen ProVisual Engine. Featuring One UI 7, the Galaxy S25 Series offers personalized AI experiences with privacy, fostering a shared vision with Google for Android with AI at the core. The series also uses AI agents for natural interactions, while Google’s Circle to Search improves screen search efficiency by recognizing phone numbers, emails, and URLs with a single tap. You can also perform actionable searches with context-aware suggestions for next steps. The S25 also makes it frictionless to switch between apps for quick follow-up actions. This includes sharing a GIF or saving event details.
The Galaxy S25 Series also enhances natural language understanding, enhancing everyday interactions with intuitive photo searching in Samsung Gallery and font size adjustment in Settings. Gemini also allows seamless interaction across Samsung, Google, and third-party apps. This allow users to easily find sports team schedules and add them to Samsung Calendar.
Galaxy AI has also expanded its communication, productivity, and creativity tools. This include Writing Assist, which allows users to summarize content and automatically format notes, and Drawing Assist, which allows users to bring ideas to life through sketches, text, or image prompts.

The Galaxy S25 Series uses the Personal Data Engine to enhance AI features by analyzing user data on-device. This data is used to provide tailored experiences, such as natural language search in the Gallery or Now Brief, which offers suggestions via the Now Bar. Powering the Galaxy S25 Series is the Snapdragon® 8 Elite processor. It offers a 40% NPU, 37% CPU, and 30% GPU performance boost. This, in turn, enable on-device processing of more AI experiences, including cloud-based tasks.
Samsung and Qualcomm Technologies have worked together to customize the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for Galaxy S25. It now feature efficient AI image processing with ProScaler to achieve a 40% improvement in display image scaling quality. It also incorporates custom technology with Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe). This is embedded within the processor using Galaxy IP to enable greater display power efficiency.
The Galaxy Snapdragon® 8 Elite features a Vulkan Engine and improved Ray Tracing for smoother and more realistic gaming. It also feature enhanced heat dissipation structure with 40% larger vapor chamber and a tailored thermal interface material.

The Galaxy S25 Series delivers ultra-detailed shots with its high resolution sensors and ProVisual Engine. An upgrade from 12MP, the new 50MP ultrawide camera sensor on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra provides exceptional clarity and vibrancy.
With 10-bit HDR recording, it provides four times richer color expression than 8-bit. This enables detailed capture in any lighting condition. Its powerful processor also effectively reduces noise, detecting both moving and static objects with greater precision, resulting in sharper, cleaner footage.
Galaxy S25 Series also introduces advanced editing tools. This includes Audio Eraser, which simplifies noise removal in videos by isolating categories of sounds. It also offers DSLR-like mobile experience with Virtual Aperture, Galaxy Log for precise color grading, enhanced Portrait Studio for personalized avatars, and new analog-style filters for film-like aesthetics.
Durable Design Embracing a More Circular Approach
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is the slimmest, lightest, and most durable version of the Galaxy S series. It features a rounded edge for a comfortable grip and Corning® Gorilla® Armor 2, a first-of-its-kind material.
Samsung has also introduced a new recycling initiative in its Galaxy S25 series. It now features a metal frame made from recycled armor aluminum. The S25 will also be the first smartphone to use recycled cobalt batteries, sourced from previous devices or discarded ones. Every external component of the Galaxy S25+ and S25 now includes at least one recycled material, as their metal frame incorporates recycled armor aluminum for the first time.
