Android 8.0 Oreo is Now Available on the Sony Xperia XZ Premium Update

The latest Android update, Android 8.0 Oreo, is now on the Sony Xperia XZ Premium update. And it comes with some cool new features.

Sony’s flagship smartphone not only has an OS upgrade, it also comes with three new features; namely the 3D Creator, Predictive Capture, and Autofocus Burst.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium Update – 3D Creator

3D Creator was previously available in the XZ1. This feature basically scans things in 3D at 4 modes; Face, Head, Food, or Free-Form. The 3D scan will be rendered within seconds. It can be shared on social media, or even be 3D printed for souvenirs.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium Update – Predictive Capture

Predictive Capture is another enhanced feature that comes with the new OS update. It detects smiles even before pressing the shutter button, allowing the user to pick the best out of four shots.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium Update – Autofocus Burst

Autofocus Burst recognize, track and capture a sequence of moving objects, ensuring action shots to be blur-free.

Aside from these new features, the XZ Premium’s update will also include some improved sound quality, as well as easy access to action menus through long pressing the app icon.

The OS upgrade is ready and can be downloaded via Wi-Fi. Other Sony devices will also be getting the Oreo update soon. Devices such as the Xperia X, Xperia XZ, Xperia XZs, XA1, XA1 Ultra, XA1 Plus, and the Xperia Touch. However, they will not receive the new features that comes with the XZ Premium’s update.
