Scania Philippines to Expand Operations in Mindanao

Scania Davao

Scania is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks and buses for heavy transport applications; and now they aim to expand operations in Mindanao.

To be perfectly honest, I’ve never heard of Scania before. And when I searched more about them, it turns out that they manufacture all kinds of trucks and buses, depending on the client’s needs and demands.

“We develop close relationships with our customers and learn about their operations. This allows us to provide products and services that are tailor-fit to address their specific business needs,” said Leilani Lim-Tan, Vice President of BJ Mercantile, Inc., the local distributor of Scania. “I am proud to say that our current customers see us as partners in helping them drive down operating costs, maximize up-time, achieve fuel economy and maintain productivity while at the same time controlling emissions making their operations environmentally friendly.”

Scania helps customers by pairing the strength of technical specifications with the smartness of optimized services. They also provide their customers with Fleet Management Services (FMS). The service helps identify and use the key details needed such as vehicle data, fuel, consumption, fleet position and driver performance (coasting, heavy braking, speeding or idling) that will help increase the productivity of the fleet, achieve fuel economy, and eventually reduce the cost of operations. It puts clear and useful information that helps operators better understand how their fleet is performing and what is costing money.

The company assures customers in Mindanao that they will have the exact same level of excellent service which they are known for in Manila and all around the world. They will have a physical office set up here in Davao City soon, and hopefully a showroom as well. For the mean time, you can check them out at 1132 EDSA Balintawak, Quezon City. You can also visit www.scania.ph for details or visit their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/scaniaphilippines/.
