OPPO Now Philippines’ 2nd Bestselling Smartphone Brand
OPPO is now the second bestselling smartphone brand in the Philippines according to GfK, a German-based market research organization.
According to GfK’s latest survey, OPPO increased its market share from 3.2% in July 2015 to 8.6% in July 2016.
“Our increasing shares show how we are able to capture what Filipinos want in a mobile device,” said Stephen Cheng, OPPO’s Brand Marketing Manager.
“We not only meet consumer demands for quality smartphones, but we also offer them at more affordable prices. This is an important factor that paved the way for our growth over the past year.”
The brand’s rising popularity is thanks to the success of their F1 series. Filipinos love taking selfies and selfies are the F1 series’ forte. The OPPO F1 was introduced in February this year, followed by the OPPO F1 Plus in April, and then introduced the OPPO F1s in August, which became their bestseller being sold out only 3 days after its launch.
Due to the F1s’ success, the company is optimistic about their standing in the Philippine market and will continue to eye for the top spot.
“OPPO will continue pursuing its growth in the market by indulging the Filipino fascination for taking selfies,” Cheng said.
