Linksys just recently announced the availability and pricing of their latest Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi Mesh Systems here in Davao City.

The difference between a mesh wi-fi and a traditional router and range extender combination is that the wi-fi speed becomes slow on the latter. The speed is cut in half with each hop from one access point to the other. On the other hand, on a mesh wi-fi, you are connected to the nodes with the same access point and same network name (SSID). The smart mesh configuration also evaluates the nodes and select the best band (either 2.4 GHz or one of the two 5 GHz radios on-board) as well as the channels within each of the bands to improve performance between nodes and client devices.
