The Assassin’s Creed Movie will Take Place on Same Universe in Games
Everyone has been anticipating any news regarding the Assassin’s Creed movie since its announcement a while back. Here are finally some news about it.
And the other day, first image of Michael Fassbender in an assassin outfit was released online.
Fassbender is reportedly playing a new character named Callum Lynch. The character may be brand new but it is confirmed that the story will be canon in the games as stated by Aymar Azaïzia (Ubisoft Head of Assassin’s Creed Content) in a twitter post.
Just like in the game series, Lynch unlocks his genetic memories through a revolutionary technology. He is the able to experience the life and adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th century Spain. The story is quite similar to Desmond Miles’ story but Ubisoft promises that it will be particularly new.
The Assassin’s Creed Movie stars Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Marlon Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises), Michael Kenneth Williams (12 Years a Slave), and Ariane Labed (Before Midnight), and is directed by Justin Kurzel. Production begins August 31, 2015 and is scheduled to open on theaters December 12, 2016.
